Hi! My Name is Olamipo Oshinowo

My journey inspires faith and hope while also evoking gratitude to God who delivers from every storm and affliction

Wilderness to Fruitfulness

This book is a personal testimony of twelve years of waiting on God for the fruit of the womb. It’s not particularly “Christian literature”, it’s more of my personal story, how I held on to God and the lessons I learnt on my journey.

Wilderness to fruitfulness tells of the twists and turns that characterized the author’s journey to motherhood. Battling infertility for twelve years is no small feat and when coupled with hormonal imbalance which triggers other reproductive health diseases, it becomes a tough battle which presents some seemingly irreversible situations.

Book Review

I’ve known Olamipo for about 10 years and I saw her through a lot of the years chronicled in this book but that didn’t prepare me for the journey I took through her pain, trial and travails in all those years.
What is most outstanding in all that time was her faith and resilience like I had never seen. There was a certainty about her that that which God has spoken, He will bring to pass.
Last year, I told her she owed the world a book or two, I cannot wait for women all over the world to share in her 12 year journey. This book is truly a journey of faith in the unshakeable word of God. Ola showed us how to go through fire with grace.
It is contagious faith and everyone who reads this book will feel the hand of God. Every Woman waiting on God should read this book.

Olamipo’s personal journey throughout her twelve-year wait for a child is chronicled in Wilderness to Fruitfulness. The book, which is full of twists and turns, describes tough challenges in her health which posed fertility challenges. Eventually, she was able to overcome the challenges and she currently experiences the joys of motherhood.
Despite her hectic schedule as a wife, mother, career development coach and consultant, she has meticulously documented her story in order to inspire faith and hope in the lives of those who read her book.
I felt myself in her shoes while reading this novel and could sense her pain and joy. This book is one of my favorites because it enhances my confidence in God that victory is guaranteed in whatever difficult scenario I face.
I would gladly recommend this book to anyone who is waiting for something. Continue to trust and believe in God. It will undoubtedly occur. This serves as a reminder that while weeping may last all night, joy arrives in the morning.

Nkoyo Daniel

Olamipo Oshinowo’s Wilderness to Fruitfulness is a personal testimony of waiting on God for the fruit of the womb. A quote from the book which resonates with me is
“To wait on the Lord is not to be idle; it is to refuse to step out of His will to address your situation.” Dr. Tony Evans.
Wilderness to Fruitfulness tells of Olamipo’s journey through courtship, marriage, and her ability to refuse to step out of God’s will in spite of numerous challenges which finally resulted in an easy pregnancy at age forty as well as the safe delivery of her daughter after 12 years of marriage.
There is a lesson to learn in every chapter of this book as she shares knowledge and experience in a masterful way that can enrich and encourage the readers in so many ways. Reading the book will convince you of God’s faithfulness and it’ll be worth your time.
